OIL COMBO

You are home after a long day, and all you want to do is to take your makeup off in no time then make a cup of tea, put your feet up and relax. I have a solution for you!

It's a 2-step makeup removing and face cleansing process (both products are easily available from Boots) that I highly recommend, no matter you are a high flying career woman or a busy mom of one, two or however many children you have. It's proven and tested (by me), and it works!

Step 1 - Botanics Soothing Eye Makeup Remover and 2-3 cotton pads - It's a completely purse-friendly makeup remover option (£3.99).  It's an oil-water based makeup remover that is great for removing those nasty waterproof mascara.  I wouldn't say that this is a one-sweep-one-second remover but if you soak each piece of cotton pads with a few drops of these, cover your eyes up and give them a gentle massage for at least 10 seconds, I would say 98% of the makeup would come off.  It doesn't irritate the eye areas, it's ever so gentle.  I stilt think that if you want to effectively and quickly remove your eye makeup, an oil based makeup remover is your best friend.

Step 2 - Una Brennan Superfacialist Vitamin C+ Cleansing Oil - I always do a double-clean in the evening as part of my skincare routine.  No matter how great your cleanser or makeup remover can do their job, a further cleansing process with a cleansing balm/ cream/ gel, or in this instance; a cleansing oil is great to make sure all the dirt in your face is removed.  I would drop a few drops of these onto my finger tips then apply them directly to my face, massage it for a few seconds (a few minutes if you have the time but I don't); rinse your face with water.  Voila, your face is left very cleaned and supple.

I was once a sceptical lady about cleansing oil but now I love it, I love them in the form of makeup remover, facial cleanser and moisturiser.  They are effective and gentle; and have never caused any troubles at all to my sensitive skin.

What's your quick fix to remove makeup and to cleanse your face?
