Special Occasions Edit: Birthday Makeup and all the trimmings

Being spoiled on my birthday - lovely cards and pressies

As you may or may not know, I had my birthday last week.  I don't normally do too much to celebrate my birthday especially now I'm getting older, birthdays to me isn't that big a deal anymore.  However I still made an effort to do something special.  I especially made an effort to create a fresh birthday makeup look I thought I would share with you the birthday makeup platter.

It was a very hot and sunny day on my birthday so I opted for a light makeup combination but still wanted pay more effort on the eye makeup.

For base, I kept it light and fresh.  Before I applied any makeup, I made sure I wear a day moisturiser which has got high SPF in.  I still have some blemishes and marks around my chin area so a good concealer or two are the keys to my makeup recently.

I have been really enjoying using my Diorskin Nude BB Cream (in shade 002).  It is extremely light in texture, very watery and provides a light coverage to my skin.  This BB cream gives my skin the glow that it needs, without the feeling of piling on loads of foundation on.  To provide a natural base finish, I used hourglass hidden corrective concealer  (in shade hidden sand) for my under the eye areas and round the nose.  It is a very creamy textured concealer which provides a light coverage and is buildable.  On blemishes which are still fairly fresh (yuck!), I like to dab on some Eucerin DermoPURIFYER Cover Stick (available in one shade only).  The reason why I love using this is because it contains salicylic acid, so whilst it acts as a concealer it also helps to heal the blemishes and calms it down.

To create a natural smokey eye look, first of all I applied Kiko's Long Lasting Stick Eyeshadow (in shade pearly white) all over my eyelids which gives a slight shimmery finish and acts as an eye primer. Then I referred to my recent new purchase at the sales in Space NK - my Chantecaille The Coral Reefs Palette . The beauty of this palette is that it provides an eyebase/ highlight, eye shadow/ liners and blusher all in one palette.  I used the light brown colour on my crease then used the darker shade of brown to give my eyes the smokey effect that I was looking for.  The palette is very easy to blend although it is not as pigmented as MAC or Sleek eyeshadows as a comparison.  This palette gives a very natural look.  To make my eyes look even more awake, I used my little fingers to dab on some shimmery white eyeshadow in the inner corners of my eyes from my Guerlain Capri 4 shadows palette, which I use religiously daily.

Whilst keeping the eyemake fairly natural, there are three makeup products that I wouldn't leave it without, that's my Kiko's Precision Eye Pencil (in shade Dark Brown).  This eye pencil is very easy to draw on, it glides on my eyeliners like a dream.  After having used it for 3 months, it is still going strong and it didn't need frequent sharpening which makes it very long-lasting.  For my brows, I like to fill them in using Soap & Glory's Archery Brow Tint and Pencil (in shade Love in Blonde).

Finally for my eyes, I absolutely cannot go without applying coats after coats of mascara because they are basically too short.  Sometimes if I am in a hurry, I would reach for my Max Factor's Clump Defy mascara as it gives both the length and volume.  For this look, I used Chanel Inimitable Volume Length Curl Separation Mascara and Physician's Formula Organic Wear Jumbo Lash Mascara to give the volume that my lashes desperately need.

Moving on to the cheeks area.  I have been practising contouring my face recently and I think that I have finally cracked it.  I'm absolutely loving Sleek Face Contour Kit (Light), the highlighting powder has been my staple beauty product for at least a good 6 months since I discovered it, I lightly brush it on top of my cheek bones and on both my brow bones, and around the cheek areas.  The light brown contouring powder has slowly crept into my favourite beauty product list, it is effectively in giving the contour that I need which I applied just underneath my cheekbones.  Sleek products are famous for its pigmentation so a light-hand is highly recommended.  The good thing about this contouring powder is that it doesn't leave an orange tint to my skin which is quite pale.

If I want my makeup to stay put, I often opt for a cream product so I chose YSL Creme de Blush which may look scary when you first dab it on your cheeks but it is very easy to blend and set to a powder texture.

For my lips, as I couldn't decide on the colour I wanted to wear so I opted for my Dior Addict Lip Glow.  It is only available in one shade as it works to react to the lips' moisture level to give its colour and the glowy finish that I wanted.

As I had a bit more time to put my makeup on, I used quite a few tools to assist me to achieve this look:

I also wanted to thank my family (my sister @Forksandbrushes in particular for her generosity on giving me a Space NK voucher!) and friends for their specially hand-picked presents - I love them all!

Here's a few photos to share with you my presents!

Thank you for sharing with me my birthday!  I hope you have enjoyed reading this post and would attempt to re-create this look!

Nail Care: Le Top, La Base

Having a prepared base, such as using a good moisturiser or a good primer before applying foundation, or a tinted moisturiser, or BB cream seems to be a makeup routine for many people.  Preparing your nails before applying nail colours on, in my opinion is equally important.  Especially during summer time, your hands and feet are on show much more often!

Today, I want to share with you all the 'Le Top and La Base' nail products I have tried.  It shocks me when I had them all lined up in front of me, I have a total of 7 nail protective products.  They each serve a different function and has their own pros and cons.

Meet the very popular and well-known duo, Seche Vite's Crystal Clear Base Coat (£6.50) and Dry Fast Top Coat (£9).

Do I like them as much as others?

I've grown to like the top coat more and more as I noticed that whenever I use this top coat, it does give my nail colours a very shiny, high-gloss finish; close to a gel finish.  It also does what it says, enabling your nail colours dry a lot quicker.  I am just over half way of using it and it starts to get a little bit gluppy like which is what I've heard other people said, the final 1/3 bit is not going to be possible to use........ I think I'm nearing that now.

However I am disappointed with the base coat.  I actually bought this by mistake as I thought I ordered the top coat but when I received it, I realised that I got the base coat instead.  The point of using a base coat is to protect your nails from going yellow and helps to have a good base for your nail colours to sit on.  Whether or not this base coat protects my nails, I don't think it is designed to do that and it didn't help my nail colours to stay on for longer.  I found that whenever I use this, my nail (colours) chip easier.

Would I repurchase these again?  Perhaps the top coat (but a better recommendation is coming up, so do stay and read on), but I most certainly wouldn't repurchase the base coat.

Next up is......

Recently, I stumbled across Guerlain's latest nail product, Protective base coat (La Base Protectrice). I have to say, sometimes I am a bit of a luxury girl that I dream of owning all the designer brands' products.  Despite already having tons of nail products, I wanted to give this one a try as I have never owned a high end nail protective product.

I adore the design of the packaging.  There is something about the design, perhaps the cap, perhaps the logo, and perhaps the size of the bottle - it shouts at me, ' grab me and your nails will be protected!'.  I was also fascinated by the milky/ emulsified looking solution inside the bottle, something tells me that this will treat my nails whilst acting as a good base coat.

The extra wide and flat brush made applying La Base an easy and enjoyable task to do.  Once applied on nails, it looks shiny and glossy, just like when you had your manicure professionally done.  If you are lazy but still want your nails to be nourished and looking neat, I recommend slapping on these.  They are quick drying, too so it doesn't take up that much time.

I'm tempted to try the Gel Top Coat (Le Top), just because of how great the Le Base performed.  However each of these chic looking bottle will set you back at £18 each.  I'll definitely have to think about that.  I think these will be great gift ideas for friends who are crazy about nails!

Rimmel is definitely one of my favourite high street nail brands, the colour range is as wide as one can imagine.  I'm also impressed by its base and top coat products.

Meet Rimmel's 5 in 1 Nail Care (£4.59) and Nail Care Lycra Strong (£4.59).

I have really enjoyed using both products.  The 5 in 1 Nail Care acts as both a base and top coat but I would lean towards using it as a base coat rather than a top coat just because other top coat products give a shinier and glossier finish than this one.  However, this as a base is fantastic in helping your nail colour stays for longer.

The Nail Lycra Stronger works as a base coat which provides strengths and protection to your nails.  I like this base coat as I feel that it protects my nails from growing yellow.  The formula and consistency feel very similar to Guerlain's Le Base, I am tempted to say it is a dupe for Guerlain.

As a more affordable base and top products, Rimmel definitely is a winner for these two products.

Now, let's move onto my FAVOURITE top coat product.

Everyone, meet Sally Hansen's Insta-Dri Anti-Chip Top Coat (£5.95).  Inside this red bottle contains the most effective quick drying and anti-chipping solution.  Not only does it give your nails a shiny and glossy finish, it also quickens the drying process like no other.  It helps your nails dry faster than the Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat.

Sally Hansen - you are definitely good at what you do!  When it comes to quick drying top coat, this one is definitely a no brainer!  I am going to repurchase (which I did already) this top coat for as long as I can.

In a recent haul, I wanted to try an alternative nail care (base) product recently and wanted to get a cheaper one, so I bought Boots' own brand Nail Strength Solution (£4.20).

Now that I have used this for a few times, I want to report on it.  I didn't like it.  It didn't do anything to my nails by strengthening it.  It didn't provide a better base for my nail colours to sit on top.  To me, it is simply a clear nail polish.  I think Boots can do better than that as I have always been really impressed by Boots' own brand products.  By paying just 39p more, you can get better products from Rimmel, either the 5 in 1 Nail Care as either a base or top coat, or the Nail Care Lycra Strong.

Hopefully I have given you a few ideas to venture out on a La Base and Le Top that suits your needs and budget, or as a gift idea!

Have you tried any of these products before?  Will you try any of these recommendations?

Anti-ageing battle #1 Review on Clarins Double Serum

Today happens to be my birthday and ironically I want to talk about an anti-ageing product!

Let's face it, who doesn't want to have the softest, firmest and wrinkle free skin?  I embrace my age with my two arms open very widely and I have no problems about the process of ageing.  It's a natural thing and I can't stop it from happening.  However, when I started to notice there were a few lines creeping in on my forehead last year; I wanted to do something about it.  Even my husband asked me, 'what happened to your forehead?' OK he's a lovely guy and he didn't mean it; but this is how I sensed the seriousness of the problem.

My sister and I visited the Clarins beauty counter in Selfridges a few months ago, that was how I found out my 'ageing symptoms' is called, 'First sign of ageing'.

I was drawn into one of  Clarins' latest product, Clarins Double Serum...

Clarins Double Serum, priced at £55
It is a pricey little brown bottle.  You can however buy it from www.escentual.com which is priced at £44 on their special offers.  This serum, priced at £55 contains a good 30ml of goodness known to control the ageing process.  According to the packaging, this double serum combines the most powerful water-soluble (hydric) and oil-soluble (lipidic) age-control ingredients.

When I first received it, I was impressed by how big the bottle looked in real life.  Unlike some other super expensive 'serum' type product, usually comes in the tiniest bottle ever.

Two pumps is all you need, according to the instruction.  And I completely agree with it as its texture is really rich and extremely moisturising, not greasy at all.  I think on days/nights when it isn't that dry or you don't have dry skin like I do, you could get away with not applying your favourite moisturiser afterwards.  It is also advisable you apply this morning and/or evening before your regular moisturiser.  As this product is like precious, and so far the most expensive skincare product that I purchased, I only use it in the evening.

It is like a water/oil mixed serum (as the ingredients suggest).......

I have been using it religiously for over 3 months, I'm yet to see a 'visible' result.  The lines on my face are still there in my forehead.  I didn't notice any difference this serum has done to my skin.  In the past few months or so I struggled with blemishes/ breakout on my skin which occurred a lot more frequently than it used to.  You can read here and here for detailed stories.  I therefore eliminated a number of skincare products to see if any of those have caused a reaction to my skin.  The situation has calmed down but blemishes were still creeping on and I finally attempted to stop using this serum for 2 weeks and I noticed a significant different to my skin.  My skin was a lot clearer and I felt that it has definitely calm down.

I have a feeling this serum might be part of the reason it caused breakout on my skin, together with other strong and potent products.  It could also be due to my skin over-reaction to anti-ageing product because after my skin was back to normal, I introduced another anti-ageing serum to my evening routine and within a week's of time, I started to have breakout again.

My journey to try and use an anti-ageing product has now been put to a pause.  I think my skin simply can't take such products for the time being.  What I am doing now instead to battle against ageing skin is to focus on cleansing, exfoliating and hydrating my skin, wearing sun protection skincare product and avoid direct exposure under the sun.

Instead of wasting this expensive serum, I am now using it for my neck and chest area in the evening - perhaps they will benefit from the goodness in it?

What about you?  How do you attempt to fight against those annoying lines that start creeping on your forehead?  Have you tried any anti-ageing product that works?  Or you are a bit like me who has experienced similar problem?  I want to hear from you!

Lippy Edit: the moisturising type

When it comes to moisturising my very dry lips, it's a 356-day duty.  I'm also willing to venture out a bit to find the best (most effective) product in the market.  I am currently surrounded by 7 lip products and I thought I would take you through them one by one.  One of which I have used up which is crazy so in fact, I am juggling between 6 remaining products.

My all time favourite has to be Vaseline which I have gone through numerous tubs and flavours. Vaseline Limited Edition Pink Bubbly  is what I am using in the morning after my gym session followed by a refreshing shower.  I slap these on my lips as a prep for wearing lipstick later on.  I got this a couple of years ago when it was first exclusively available at Selfridges - I remembered I rushed down to Selfridges and snapped up at least 10 of these for myself and for friends and family - crazy, eh?  But the black and pink packaging makes applying Vaseline that much more chic!  It tastes fantastic, too and of course it does the job well - a reliable product that never fails.  This little cult product will set you back at £3.49 which is £1.50 more expensive than your average Vaseline (£1.99).

The next two products I feel they are sisters products by their looks - first up meet my EOS Strawberry Sorbet Smooth Sphere lip balm  (£3.99) - only available on amazon or ebay, and in the U.S.  A Christmas stocking present from my sister a couple of years ago and it is still going strong.  This together with my latest lip balm addition the Balmi Cube Lip Balm in Raspberry flavour (available in Boots at £4.99) are on my bedside table.  Whenever I walk pass my bed, I would just grab either of these, twist and open then apply them straight onto my lips.  Both of these give a light moisturising power, great for topping up and more short term, quick hydrating boost on those dry lips.  Both of them have great flavour and are a joy to wear.

My sister (Forks and Brushes) has done a review on the Balmi Cube Lip Balm, you can click here for a more detailed review.

Caudalie is a brand which I discovered from watching too many Lisa Eldridge's beauty videos on YouTube.  First I had my eyes set on its Beauty Elixir which you will have heard me raving about it so many a times.  Then it was the Divine oil, now I have used up its Lip Conditioner in record time!

I can say that after trying so many lip treatment products, Caudalie's Lip Conditioner is by far the BEST one.  It costs £5.50 which is slightly more expensive than your average Vaseline, but worth every single penny of it and considering how effective the formula is, it's definitely got a luxury brand reputation but a drugstore price tag.  I applied this just before I dooze off to sleep, about 2 layers on each lip; the next morning when I get up; my lips felt conditioned and no flaky skin to peel off!  When it's applied on the lips, it felt very creamy but I didn't feel that it was greasy at all, the consistency is just right.  However the only down side is that I've used this up within a month which is amazingly quick.  I am not sure if that's because of its creamy formula so the product gets used up quicker than other products or the fact that I probably have been overloading my lips with this product without me noticing it.  When I have used up a few more of my lip products, this is definitely on my repurchase list.

I am such a fan of La Roche Posay's skincare products, not only because it does work wonder to my skin, it is so mild that it doesn't cause any irritation to my very sensitive skin.  When I saw La Roche Posay's Nutritic Lips, I couldn't resist from trying it.  The packaging of it reminds me of Caudalie's Lip Conditioner and I have to admit that I was led to believe that they are two very similar products and may have a very similar formula.  I think I was only half right.  The Nutritic Lips is claimed to provide 'Transforming Care for Very Dry Lips', so I decided to use it as a lip treatment product at night just before I go to sleep and hoping that it would have the same result as the Caudalie's one.  However I was left a little disappointed - it is an average product which moisturises the surface of my lips.  The formula is perhaps less creamy if compared with the Caudalie's Lip Conditioner.  I didn't feel that it achieved a 'lip treatment' result.  Having said that, it didn't leave my lips feeling dry the next morning.  However I would say this is more of a day time topping up lip moisturising product rather than using it as an overnight treatment.  I still put this together with my EOS Sphere Lip Balm and the Balmi Cube Lip Balm together on my bed side table, and I would just grab whichever one reaches my hands when I need it.  Now that the weather is not as fiercely cold as before, my lips can manage a slightly less heavy formula to maintain the condition of my lips.

Last but not least, as if the above products won't satisfy me; I still have another 2 lip products to go.  Maybelline Baby Lips is one of the most frequently raved beauty products in the bloggersphere.  Since it is not available in the UK (which I don't know why), my curiosity of it has become more intense.  Until I travelled to Hong Kong few months ago, I saw these versions of Maybelline Baby Lips (which is also unavailable in the UK), I quickly snapped one up because I thought they were what caused all the hype.  I later on found out that I got the wrong 'baby lips'!  Nevertheless, I still use it.  I put it in my bathroom so that gives me one more opportunity to moisturise my lips whenever I am in the house.  It has got a really nice fruity scent to it, it is moisturising but it doesn't have the 'lip treatment' result that other products have.  I wouldn't repurchase it again just because it's got nothing special to it.

Finally, the Queen of all of my lip balm has to go to Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Lip Protectant Gloss and will set you back a whooping £20.  Worth the price tag?  I think so.  I use it really frequently and I keep it in my makeup bag when I'm on the go.  I love the packaging to start with, the striking red squeezy tube makes applying a lip balm that much more elegant in a restaurant, in the ladies' powder room, shopping or wherever you are when you are out and about.  The formula of the Eight Hour Cream line is not to be questioned.  I would say this Lip Protectant Gloss is definitely a heavy duty product and is especially ideal for anyone who suffers from chapped lips in the winter.  It moisturises your lips by giving it a protectant shield minus the greasiness.  It's also great if you want a bit of gloss over your lip colour by giving it a bit of moisture - this is a fantastic product.  Would I repurchase it again?  Yes I would - this is a luxury product that worths all the hype and money for.

Have you tried any of these products before?  Which one would you want to try?

Fuchsia Pink Nails

Let's forget about pastel colours, be it blue, mint green or yellow, or even coral.  Let's look at these beautiful fuchsia pink colours.  I think they are suitable for all year round.  They are cute and easy to wear, girly and fun!

I seem to have gone a bit crazy on these shades of fuchsia pink.  Here's a run down of what I have:

  • Nicole by OPI in A Like Haley Story
  • Barry M 272 Shocking Pink
  • Maybelline Color Show 183 Speeding Light
  • Ciate mini 011 Cupcake Queen

Nicole by OPI A Like Haley Story has the most sheer finish out of the four.  You can wear one coat to get a more sheer and natural effect but you can also apply more than one coats to pile the intensity of the colour.  It has the smallest sparkly gold particles in it.

Barry M Shocking Pink has the most opaque colour finish of all.  One coat is all you need to get the intensity of the colour right.

Maybelline Color Show Speeding Light is the coolest of all.  It has so many layers of colour, fuschia pink, a bit of purple and a soft metallic finish.  You can build it up or just wear one coat to get a fairly sheer finish.  I think I like this one the most.

Ciate Cupcake Queen is a colour between Barry M Shocking Pink and Maybelline Color Show Speeding Light.  It's got the opaqueness of Barry M's, it also has the metallic finish of Maybelline's.  However Ciate Cupcake Queen isn't as chip-resistant as the other three despite having applied both a base and top coat.

So...... what's your pick of fuchsia pink?

June Empties

I love the feeling of getting new beauty products, but at the same time I also have a sense of 'mission accomplished' when I finish one, too.

This month, I finished using up a few more products and want to share with you my thoughts on these.

Skincare wise, I used up 3 skincare essentials.  My skin is still quite dehydrated at the moment (I blame it on the messy breakout that I had last month and it is still at recovery state), so the La Roche-Posay Thermal Spring Water  seem to tick all the boxes for me as an additional step to my skincare routine to inject those much needed hydration back to my face.  I used this for both my morning and evening routines, before and after I cleanse and tone my face.  If you ask me whether this has made my skin feels more hydrated, the honest answer is I am not entirely sure but I can definitely feel that my skin (especially around the cheek areas) feels plumper.  However, whether or not it is entirely down to this spray or other products, it is unknown.

Nuxe was a brand I wanted to try so when I ran out of a toner a couple of months ago, I decided to put this Gentle Toning Lotion to the test.  I specifically wanted one which was suitable for my dry and sensitive skin so this seemed to be a good prescription for me.  After I use this, I felt that it tightened up my pores without tightening up my facial skin and left it feeling dry.  It is definitely a very gentle toning lotion.  I recommend this to people who have dry and sensitive skin like me.  Whether I would repurchase is a different story though.  At the moment, I am 'toner-less' and am searching for another one.

I had the Clarins Multi-Active Night Youth Recovery Comfort Cream as free gifts when I purchased the Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Protector which you can read the review here.  This 30ml youth recovery cream has lasted me for nearly a month which is pretty awesome.  I have been teaming this up with my Clarins Double Serum which I have just stopped using it as I am mildly suspecting that it may be giving me blemishes (since stopping the use of glycolytic containing products, I still have the odd blemishes creeping up).  I found that wearing this youth recovery cream on its own is hydrating enough.  I would recommend this to anyone who wants an anti-ageing product but want a all-in-one night cream which is hydrating at the same time, this might be for you to consider?

Next up is hand cream - I go through tubes after tubes of handcream like no others!  Here's the two hand cream I finished this month.

I had this Caudalie Hand and Nail Cream  from the Caudalie beauty set that I bought a while back which I have done a review here.  I love the Beauty Elixir by Caudalie which I have purchased and repurchased over and over again.  I had high expectation of this hand and nail cream.  I'd say I liked it but I didn't love it.  This hand and nail cream has a pleasant citrus scent to it which might appeal to other people but I am not the biggest fan.  It is a very light weight hand cream which actually wasn't intense enough for my very dry hands.  I am not disappointed with the product, but I don't think I would repurchase.

The Space NK own brand florabelle hand cream (couldn't find it on Space NK website anymore) has taken my by complete surprise.  It was highly addictive.  The consistency of the cream was just right to moisturise my hands - not too greasy and not too light, and absorbed quickly by my hands.  I love the floral scent,  it isn't an intensely sweet floral scent.  It smells a little bit like baby powder which for some strange reason I love!  I got this in the clearance sale so it only cost me £2.50 as opposed to £10.  I wouldn't pay £10 for it though despite how much I love it.  Perhaps until next time it's become available and on sale, I wouldn't repurchase.

Finishing up a makeup product is definitely a rare scene for me, and I managed to use up two of them!

I bought the Helena Rubinstein Lash Queen Fatal Blacks mascara back in December when I was in Hong Kong.  I've been constantly using this during its first 3 months but got distracted by other new additions.  I have finally used it up - overall impression?  Hm.... there are better ones by drugstore brands which out-perform this one.  Repurchase?  No I don't think so.

Bourjois Touche Healthy Mix brush concealer was a great product - the brush on formula made applying concealer under the eye areas like a dream.  Its consistency is light and creamy and doesn't cake up on my skin as my day goes by.  It gives a light coverage, I wouldn't say it can be built up to a medium coverage though.  This is definitely a false-proof concealer for under the eye areas!  Repurchase?  Oh yes I would!

Are you like me who feel a real sense of achievement when finishing a product?  What have you finished using this month?

The Sacred Truth - an amazing mask

Meet Lush's The Sacred Truth fresh facemask.

For those of you who have visited a Lush store you would know how crazy it can get in the store.  It is usually full of people (both customers and high-energy, extremely friendly and knowledgeable beauty assistant).  Recently my sister and I visited their store in Westfield on a quiet afternoon so we took our time to look at each and every product.

Lush's facemasks is one of those products that is always on the 'to try' list.  This is because they are 'quick and dirty'.  They are fresh, their shelf lives usually last for a maximum of 3 weeks and you'd also need to keep it in the fridge.  That's what I love about them, it forces you to work hard to keep your appearance nice, as well as it forces you to use up products in less than a month's time.

One day, my sister bought another fresh mask but I had my eyes on the Sacred Truth as it is for anti-ageing.  The beauty assistant kindly gave me a free sample to try, in this little pot.

This little pot is little but the content was enough for 2-3 masks.  The customer service tactic has worked - I'm definitely going to go back to buy a normal sized tub to continue using it.

So, what's in the Sacred Truth?  Well, I'm not going to name every single ingredient here as it will take up all the space in this post.  Basically it contains over 20 natural ingredients.  The featured ingredient is Papaya and it is this good stuff which has the anti-agening property.  When it gets to your skin, it helps to eat away the dead skin on the surface!

As this freshmask is stored in the fridge, so when I first slapped these on my face, it felt extremely cool to my skin which gave such a refreshing sensation instantly.  This mask looks green so for about 10-15mins you look a bit dodgy.  The texture of this mask is smooth, there is no bits in it.  It's great for dry/ sensitive skin.  When it is dried, it goes slightly hardened but it is so easily rinsed with water.

The result?  Amazing!  You can see the difference yourself in these two pictures below:

Before
After
There is an instant glow added to the face.  It felt extremely refreshing afterwards, at the same time it didn't dry my skin out completely.  The effect has lasted until the next morning.

I strongly recommend this mask to you if you have dry/ sensitive skin like me, and if you are also looking out for anti-ageing product - this one is definitely a winner!

Will you want to give it a try?
